J.U. KEVIL FOUNDATION
J.U. KEVIL CENTER
Building independence. Strengthening community. Changing lives.
Our Services
The Kevil Center provides Participants with a variety of options to meet their individual needs. Each person can choose to engage in a single program area or create a personalized program that combines opportunities from multiple service areas. The general areas of service are outlined below, with more specific activities available within each area to support Participants’ unique goals and interests.
Community Employment & Training
Training: We believe that having access to and using the resources and facilities of our community is a privilege to be valued. Our Day Training Program is designed to strengthen existing skills while teaching new ones that promote independence. Classroom and educational experiences at the Center are accompanied by activities in community settings to achieve goals. Our Direct Support Professionals are always exploring fun, innovative ways to build skills—for example, shopping in a local store to practice budgeting and social interactions.
Employment: At the J.U. Kevil Center, our Participants have the opportunity to work. In our work services area, we do small parts assembly, packaging, and other tasks for local businesses. We also offer supported employment services for Participants who qualify. Our supported employment specialists assist with resume building, interview preparation, job searching, and more. From the initial job search through the first 90 days of employment, a specialist provides guidance and support every step of the way.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS
RE-FABBED BOUTIQUE
The J.U. Kevil Center partners with Re-Fabbed Boutique located in Mayfield, Kentucky to package their Re-Fabulous Monthly Subscription Boxes! We are excited about this opportunity for our Individuals to be able to work with The Re-Fabbed Team!
KAYSER AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS
Another one of our valued community partners is Kayser Automotive Systems in Fulton, Kentucky. Through this partnership, participants assemble small parts. In addition to earning wages, participants have the opportunity to develop valuable skills such as fine motor coordination, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Working with Kayser provides more than just employment—it helps build confidence, independence, and a sense of accomplishment while contributing to products used throughout the automotive industry.
BAILING
As a service to the Mayfield community, we provide free cardboard pickup for more than 90 local businesses. All collected cardboard is baled and recycled, creating meaningful work opportunities for the individuals we serve. We are proud to help our local businesses stay clean and efficient while also supporting environmental sustainability.
